As long as I can remember I have loved taking pictures. Behind, as well as in front of the camera. When my friends came over for a visit, more than once we dressed in the craziest outfits, put on terrible make up and made Polaroids. (Yes, these pictures still exist – buried in some box or other – and hopefully won’t ever resurface!).
But what I loved even more than to pose for funny pictures, was taking pictures myself. Of the people I love, landscapes, sculptures, buildings… as long as it fit on a photo it was the perfect subject.
With time I got better and even learned to handle my DSLR camera. And that was even more fun! Capturing moments which are otherwise gone within seconds is what I love most!
Here I would like to show you some of my best photos.
as this post is more than over due, I decided to just get it done right away.
At the end of November 2016 my oldest friend (in reference to the length of our friendship, not her age. 😉 ) had her newest addition to her family. Baby no. 3 is a beautiful little lady and I had the immense honour to capture her on my camera.
My friend and I don’t see each other very often, so the newborn photoshoot was a great reason to meet up again. I was able to hold the little lady the moment I walked in, so her Mom could gather all her clothes, so her and I had some time to bond and get to know each other. She was awake during most of the photo session and was looking curiously directly into the camera, like a real pro. I guess she has inherited that trait from her Mom, who was Mrs Austria in 2010. 🙂
We took our sweet time and cuddled a lot in between, so I was able to make a beautiful gift to the parents with her photos.
Dear Isabella and Rob, congratulations again. You have a beautiful little girl. She is a cutie and already as gorgeous as her older siblings and her parents. :-*
Oh gosh, it has been quite a while since I have last posted something on here. I was sick almost completely throughout the whole of November and was not able to do any photo shoots. Well and then there was Christmas and the whole stress before …. and within the blink of an eye, 2 months are gone.
But these pictures of a beautiful engagement session from the beginning of December I just had to show you. Recently my previous neighbour contacted me and asked if I could take engagement photos of her and her fiancé which I was very happy to do.
We met on a very cold and windy day in Schönbrunn and I am very thankful to both of them, because even though it was so cold, they always took their jackets off for the pictures and since the sun came out in between we managed to take some amazing photos.
Only poor Murhaf was in desperate need of a hot shower, but he resisted the cold temperature bravely, while I was warmly wrapped in my winter coat. 🙂
But just have a look at the photos of Anne Marie & Murhaf. I hope you like them as much as I do.
So I have been quiet for a while. Unfortunately I was down with a nasty cold for a few days. But sometimes that can actually be a good thing. 5 days I was not really able to take care of my little one and even though this was really difficult for me and made me very sad, it was also a relieve to get a bit of a break. Well, actually the first 3 days I couldn’t move, because everything hurt. My whole body hurt, add to it a hammering headache and an incredibly sore throat – well you can imagine, that those 3 days I did not do very much. On one of those days I actually slept 3 times during the day! (Anybody who knows me, knows what that means!).
But thankfully I am much better now and finally I am able to look after Gwen’s beautiful photos albeit much too late!
This photo shoot in October was especially beautiful. Those gorgeous colours of autumn paired with Gwen’s amazing red hair – an absolute dream! Besides that I haven’t seen her in forever, so we were able to use the time to catch up. That’s exactly how I like it! 🙂
Well, now I have officially had my first baby photo shoot! Before this particular photo shoot I was quite excited and nervous, because I didn’t know the baby nor the parents. Parents (and Grandma, who was also there) as well as baby (even though I wouldn’t have suspected otherwise) have been delightful and instantly I felt at home there.
We took our sweet time for this photo shoot, so we could make sure the little peanut got as many breaks as he needed. As I am a Mom of a little boy as well, I know that babies have their own schedule and most of all need lots of quiet and affection. Our little Shooting Star was awake or at least only dozed through most of the photo shoot and mostly wanted to be in Mommy’s arms, so instead of a Baby photo shoot we did a ‘Baby&Mom’ photo shoot and the result turned out really great. I think (and hope) that the parents enjoy the photos and that our little Star will love to look at these photos when he grows older.
All the best for the future, to the little family and I would be glad to be photographing the little man again in the future.
Enjoy the photos. I know I had a lot of fun during this special photo shoot and hope to have another little angel in front of my camera very soon! 🙂
Recently I had a photoshoot with David’s Best Man Stefan. And this photoshoot really was quite something special for me. On the one hand it was naturally a unique chance to be able to capture Stefan, but on the other hand it was also my first photoshoot with a man.
Understandably I was quite nervous to begin with. Of course one would think that a photoshoot with a man is not that much different to one with a woman, but yes, it is actually a huge difference. Most of the go to poses you can do with a woman, would just look – let’s say – ridiculous with a man.
So of course I did my homework and did some research, but in the end I just trusted my gut instinct as usual. The result more than speaks for itself, I think! 🙂
Supposedly Stefan was nervous too. Well, that did not show at all and on the contrary he actually made it quite easy for me to show him from his ‘best side’.
Well then, first session with a man completely successful! And here the pictures of evidence! 🙂
